HIS MAJESTY Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia, has called on authorities to ensure that the needs of flood victims in temporary evacuation centres are fully met amid a rising tide of displaced residents across the country.
In a statement posted on the monarch’s official Facebook page, Sultan Ibrahim directed the National Disaster Management Agency (NADMA) to maintain evacuation centres in safe and well-functioning condition, ensuring they are capable of accommodating all evacuees.
“Ensure that basic facilities, food supplies, and medical aid are sufficiently available,” His Majesty instructed, adding that the public should follow evacuation orders and avoid taking unnecessary risks in dangerous areas.
The King also expressed his gratitude to security forces, rescue agencies, volunteers, and all parties involved in assisting those affected by the floods.
Sultan Ibrahim concluded with a heartfelt prayer for the resilience and protection of all flood victims, asking Allah SWT to safeguard them throughout the ongoing natural disaster.
“May all those affected be granted strength and fortitude as they navigate these challenging times,” he said. - November 25, 2025
