His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia,  will undergo follow-up treatment for musculoskeletal pain affecting his back and hip, according to Istana Negara.

KUALA LUMPUR: His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia,  will undergo follow-up treatment for musculoskeletal pain affecting his back and hip, according to Istana Negara.

In a statement issued today, Istana Negara said His Majesty had been advised by medical specialists to rest ahead of the treatment to facilitate the recovery process.

“As a result, His Majesty is unable to attend the Warriors’ Day Parade ceremony at Dataran Pahlawan Negara, Putrajaya, today (July 31),” the statement said.

The Warriors’ Day Parade was held this morning and attended by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and his wife, Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail.

Also present were Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail, Defence Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin, Chief of Defence Force General Tan Sri Malek Razak Sulaiman, and Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Mohd Khalid Ismail.
