
Kota Kinabalu: Police made significant progress in solving 15 break-in cases here with the recent arrest of a leader and member of a gang dubbed "Geng Yan".
City Police Chief ACP Mohd Zaidi Abdullah said the duo was apprehended between 11 am and 3.30 pm in Manggatal town on March 12.
According to preliminary findings, the duo is believed to be responsible for 15 break-in cases in Kota Kinabalu and one in Kota Marudu over a five-month period from October last year.
Their suspected activities resulted in property losses totalling RM353,240 and cash losses amounting to RM283,188.
