Kota Kinabalu: An 11-year-old boy was crushed to death by a goalpost at the football field of SK Luk Yuk in Menggatal Town, here, on Thursday noon.
According to City police Chief, ACP Mohd Zaidi Abdullah, students surrounded the body following the tumble.
“The boy’s father immediately called 999 and the victim was rushed to Likas hospital via ambulance.
“On scene investigations show no criminal trace. The victim was crushed in an accident involving a goalpost and the case is being classified as sudden death. However, investigations continue,” he said in a press statement on Friday.
