Kota Kinabalu: A 46-year-old widow has lost RM2.5 million in a love scam.
She made 41 transactions to 24 different local accounts over the course of two months since May 26 before she finally lodged a police report on Wednesday.
Police said the assistant manager of a private company in Kota Kinabalu had been approached on Instagram by the scammer disguising himself as a Korean national named Ji Won.
