HULU SELANGOR: Hulu Selangor Bersatu action division head Khairul Azhari Saut has been named as Perikatan Nasional’s (PN) candidate for the Kuala Kubu Baharu (KKB) state by-election on May 11.
The announcement was made by PN chairman Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin at the PN Main Operations Room in Batang Kali here tonight.
Muhyiddin said that the selection of Khairul Azhari, 54, as the candidate was decided unanimously by the PN Supreme Council.
The Kuala Kubu Baharu by-election is being held due to the demise of its incumbent, Lee Kee Hiong, 58, from the DAP, on March 21 due to cancer.
Nomination is this Saturday (April 27) and early voting on May 7.
