Kota Kinabalu: Industrial Development and Entrepreneurship Minister Phoong Jin Zhe has revealed that the Kota Kinabalu Industrial Park ( KKIP) will collaborate with a Chinese company to introduce advanced IBS or industrialised building system technology to Sabah.

The collaboration will be with SANY Group, the world's third-largest construction machinery manufacturer, and will pave the way for KKIP to establish an IBS factory, providing high-quality industrial building products for local industry players in the future.

Phoong, in a statement, also emphasised that utilising advanced IBS technology and equipment will significantly enhance efficiency in construction, saving time, reducing costs, decreasing reliance on labor, and most importantly, enabling the public to afford more affordable housing.
