The haze across parts of the Klang Valley appeared to worsen on today, with Malaysians taking to social media to share just how bad visibility had become.
Several photos posted online showed Kuala Lumpur covered in a thick grey haze, with familiar landmarks in the distance becoming increasingly difficult to see.
One netizen sharing an update at around 3.36pm said the haze had become so bad that KLCC, TRX and KL Tower were barely visible.

The user also joked that if the haze continued getting worse, people might end up working from home while schools could be closed.
In a follow-up post, the same user said KLCC could no longer be seen clearly at all, adding that conditions already looked bad earlier in the morning.
‘Looks like the 80s’
Another netizen posting from Bandar Utama at around 4.20pm shared photos showing the entire area covered in a yellowish haze.
The gloomy-looking scene even prompted one commenter to joke that it looked like a photo taken in the 1980s.

Meanwhile, another post from Kuala Lumpur at around 2pm showed buildings and the KL skyline partially disappearing behind the haze.
Some users also shared screenshots from third-party air quality apps showing readings above 200 in certain areas, with one reading reportedly exceeding 300.
