PETALING JAYA: The bodyguard who was seriously injured in the shooting incident at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) Terminal 1 has regained consciousness.

Muhammmad Nur Hadith, better known as Along, had previously undergone intestinal surgery.

According to TheStar, his wife confirmed that he had woken up and has been taken off the ventilator.

“He can speak a little,” Siti Noraida Hassan was quoted as saying, adding that no timeframe has been given for his discharge.

Farah Md Isa, also known as Farah Cie, the estranged wife of the KLIA shooting suspect also took to her Facebook yesterday to share that Along had regained consciousness.

Along was shot at 1.20pm on Sunday (April 14) while standing in for another colleague.

The suspect had targeted his wife Farah, and fired two shots but one of them missed and hit the bodyguard’s abdominal area.
