At KLIMS 2026, MG opened the ZS Hybrid for booking and previewed a bunch of other models.
MG’s booth at KLIMS 2026 was headlined by a talk by Jozef Kabaň, SAIC’s head of global design. Order books were opened for the ZS Hybrid which will be locally-assembled in Melaka at the EMPB plant.

No price was shared, nor was there a launch date. However, those who paid RM99 to book the vehicle early would be entitled to an RM3,000 discount and 3 years of free maintenance. The upcoming MG ZS lineup will officially comprise two primary variants tailored for local preferences: the LUX Hybrid+ and the LUX Turbo, with the turbo-powered configuration scheduled for a later market introduction. The MG ZS combines sleek, sporty styling with everyday practicality. Its exterior features a bold front fascia with Connected Hunter Eyes headlights, black grille accents, aerodynamic sculpting, rear LED taillights, smooth rear spoiler and contemporary 18-inch alloy wheels. As the largest B-segment SUV in its class, measuring 4,430mm in length and 1,818mm in width, the MG ZS offers an open and ergonomic cabin layout with premium materials, enhanced interior space for improved headroom and legroom, and intelligent storage solutions. The vehicle also provides 443 litres of boot space, expandable to 1,457 litres with the rear seats folded down, offering one of the most spacious cabin in its segment. Inside, the cockpit is equipped with a 12.3-inch floating infotainment display and a digital instrument cluster that presents essential driving information at a glance.
Powering the MG ZS Hybrid+ is a 1.83kWh high capacity NCM battery, paired with a 100kW electric motor and a high-efficiency 1.5L naturally aspirated engine, delivering a combined maximum power output of 158kW and 465Nm of torque. Paired with an advanced 3-speed
Hybrid Transmission, the MG ZS Hybrid+ delivers a smooth and dynamic driving experience, combining EV-like responsiveness with the convenience of a refined hybrid powertrain without the need for plug-in charging. Capable of accelerating from 0–100km/h in 8.7 seconds, it stands as the fastest B-segment hybrid SUV while offering a driving range of up to 870km on a full 41-litre fuel tank.

Also shown was the IM6, QS, and HS Hybrid. These are just previews. No launch date or price has been indicated for these models. The IM6 was particularly intereting as it delivers up to 600km of range WLTP-rated range, with 572kW of power and 802Nm of torque






Existing models were also shown, including the Cyberster and MG S5.


For a limited time during KLIMS 2026, customers who book the MGS5 EV will enjoy RM7,000 instant rebate, a complimentary 7kW Wall Box Charger worth RM2,000 and an additional RM1,000 charging credit. The MG S5 is priced from RM116,900.
