Liverpool suffered a 3-0 defeat to French outfit Strasbourg at Anfield on Sunday.

Just a day after their Community Shield triumph against Manchester United, Jurgen Klopp's men set out for another clash in preparation for the Premier League season.

Klopp named a youthful starting XI which included Fabio Carvalho, Stefan Bajcetic, Isaac Mabaya, Melkamu Frauendorf and Luke Chambers.

Adrien Thomasson and Habib Diallo netted for the visitors to make it 2-0 within 14 minutes.

The pair then combined for a third for Strasbourg, with Thomasson converting Diallo's pass with 21 minutes gone.

The Reds will now look forward to Saturday's Premier League opener against Fulham at Craven Cottage.
