Irish rap trio Kneecap marked Sir Keir Starmer’s resignation with a pointed "farewell" in Irish hours after the Prime Minister addressed the nation from Downing Street.
Belfast-based group Kneecap, known for their politically charged music and social commentary, posted a video on Instagram captioned "Slán Keir," meaning goodbye or farewell.
Kneecap, made up of rappers Liam Og O hAnnaidh (Mo Chara), Naoise O Caireallain, and JJ O Dochartaigh, frequently incorporates chants of "Free Palestine" into their live performances.
Their social media video appeared to mock Sir Keir’s time in office, juxtaposing clips of him criticising the trio – specifically stating that what they stand for and say is "completely intolerable" – with footage of the band performing across the country, including their set at Glastonbury.
During these clips, the group can be heard chanting "f*** Keir Starmer." The video concluded with a slowed-down, black-and-white image of the Prime Minister, emblazoned with the words "completely intolerable" in red.

Sir Keir’s original remarks stemmed from a terror charge against Mo Chara, who was accused of displaying a flag in support of the proscribed organisation Hezbollah at a north London gig.
The charge was ultimately thrown out last year, with a chief magistrate ruling the proceedings "instituted unlawfully," a decision later upheld by the High Court.
Kneecap further articulated their criticism in their single "Liars Tale," released earlier this year.
The track condemned Sir Keir’s stance on Israel’s military offensive in Gaza and his relationship with the US, with lyrics such as "you’re not getting away with doing nothing" and "f*** Keir Starmer, Netanyahu’s b**** and genocide armer."
