Burnley boss Vincent Kompany is convinced by the potential of his squad.
The Clarets host Chelsea on Saturday.
Kompany said today: "I don't think we're any further away from what we want to achieve or any closer than we were before Luton. We keep at it, we don't panic when we don't get good results and now we also don't get carried away because we won the last game. We just get on with it.
"I think for us coaches it's not what you believe in its also what you know, you know your players ultimately. It's making sure players understand how good they can become and what it can do for them if they stick the course. It's just a constant effort of convincing, t's part of the job.
"I've obviously been part of a club where money could be spent when I was a player and now I'm in a club where you're far from being a big spender, I don't have a complaint about it.
"Whether you spend more or less, it doesn't come into my mindset too much. The exciting part is that we can get so much better on our own resources, just by our own forces and that for me is really exciting.
"Winning and the standards and habits that's something you can transfer and that's not spending too much and that's what matters. For me we can be a winning team without spending too much. Without that, we can achieve. I'm not trying to compare finances, I'm trying to compare standards."
On facing Chelsea, he also stated: "It's difficult for me to say what Poch is dealing with, I have my reference from being at a top club so I know the challenges comes with that but all I can say that here we're at a different situation. We have a good group, good players, I have no complaints with my side, I'm happy. I'm excited to work with my side, they're a good group, they run their socks off for the club, from there I think we can get good results.
"Where were at now, we have a lot of players of a similar level which is a good thing. Sometimes we have to leave a player out and bring them back in, behind that there are players of a similar level, so you might see differences.
"It's always about finding a balance but ultimately I think team cohesion, playing together and knowing your tasks is much more important than experience. But in terms of balance we want to make sure we have enough players to take us through the Premier League."
