A Korean man found himself suspended at least 50 metres in the air after he found himself trapped on a tree while paragliding.
The incident occurred at Kokol Hill in Menggatal near Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, yesterday (Jan 28).

The man was identified as 50-year-old Cha Woo-sung, who landed himself in the sticky situation after he was swayed off the designated path by strong winds shortly after taking off, reported The Star.
He also reportedly faced technical problems before eventually landing on a 50-metre tall tree.
Operations Commander PBK II Mohamad Faizal bin Alias said the Sabah Fire and Rescue Department received an emergency call via the MERS999 hotline of the incident at 1.51pm.
“A team of 12 personnel then made their way to the scene along with a FRT vehicle, EMRS unit vehicle, and a Vigo vehicle.
“Along with the landowner and a guide, they trekked for over 1km from the location where the victim (Cha) took off,” he said in a statement.
Upon reaching the scene, the rescue team used a lowering system to bring Cha down to safety.
Lintas fire station chief Agustavia Joe Guasi told The Star that Cha was left hanging in the air for at least 40 minutes before he was rescued.
Thankfully, Cha suffered no injuries from the misadventure and the rescue operation concluded at 4.50pm.
After being rescued, Cha posed for a photo with the firefighters to thank them for coming to his aid.
