As we usher into the new year, many companies are getting their appraisals ready and for most employees, they’re definitely looking forward to a bonus.
Just a week ago, a Taiwan based company Evergreen has announced that their staff would receive a 52-month bonus. Following that news, many people were in shocked as it’s definitely a good treat for the hard work they’ve put into for the company.
What’s more shocking is that just today, Sin Chew Daily reported that a Korean based company will be offering a 120-month bonus for its employees. Upon researching, it appears that the company is in the oil & gas industry and due to the war happening in Ukraine and Russia, it has allowed the company to earn far more than what they’ve expected.
It was reported that in 2021, their employees received a 36-month bonus and upon calculating, it was shown that each employee got an average of $7.2billion KRW (RM24 million) as a reward.
As the news was published, many people were shocked to read this and here’s what some of them said:
“Are you sure it’s 120 months of bonus and not 12 months?”
“Are they still hiring?”
“Is this company really that good? I want to send my resume over to this company already!”
It’s definitely great to see that there are companies who would go through such lengths to ensure that their employees feel well taken care of.
