Kota Kinabalu: Police will take action against several students suspected of being involved in a fight in a video recording that went viral on WhatsApp since Tuesday.
The video clip was believed to involve students at a secondary school here.
Kota Belud District Police Chief, Superintendent Shahrudin Mat Husain confirmed the incident.
“Until this (Wednesday) morning, police have not received any reports from the individuals involved or the school”.
“Police will also investigate whether it was a fight or a case of bullying among students,” he said.
According to Shahrudin, police would take action with the relevant school.
“Witnesses to the incident are ured to call or come to the nearest police station to help with the investigation”.
Accordingly, Shahrudin requested the public not to spread false information or any speculation related to the incident.
Among the 12-second clip, a group of students witnessed a student punch a man wearing a red T-shirt, believed to be a high school student.
