
Kota Kinabalu: Attractive prizes await winners of the Kota Kinabalu Buvazoi Tavantang Kaamatan (BTK) competition, which is set to take place this April.
Four champions will be selected to represent Kota Kinabalu, Inanam, Likas, and Ranau at the state-level contest, highlighting Sabah’s cultural pride and traditions.

This year’s competition will feature a Cultural Night on April 19, where participants will showcase local contemporary costume designs that blend tradition with modern influences.

Read more The grand finale on April 26 will take place at the Sabah International Convention Centre (SICC), marking the first time the pageant is hosted at the venue.
According to programme chairman and advisor Firdaus Acha, the competition serves as a platform to uplift Sabah’s cultural heritage and allow young men to represent their communities.

The top winner of Kota Kinabalu BTK will receive prizes worth RM15,050, including RM5,000 in cash, a six-month allowance of RM1,500 per month, and a Sigah valued at RM1,050.
