Former Lazio striker Libor Kozak sees the derby against Roma as a must-win game.
Kozak says form will not be a factor this weekend.
He told Tag24: "The derby is always a separate game. The form of the two teams doesn't matter, the position in the standings doesn't matter, you can't make calculations of any type. It's a completely different match from the others, in which an infinite number of factors come into play. It will be fundamental for Lazio to be able to bring home a full result and I hope they can do it.
I followed Tuesday evening's match against Juventus. In the first half I saw a good Lazio, a team that created opportunities even if they never managed to get a shot on goal and be truly dangerous. I like the (coach) change, but the results will be seen in the long run.
"This derby will be decisive for this season finale. It is clear that for such a radical tactical revolution, 15 days of work are too few. However, when you change coaches, new enthusiasm arrives and this gives a boost to the whole environment and the team.
"Lazio must travel on this emotional wave. Tactically they will still have to work a lot to find the mechanisms again, but there is no time."
