THE Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN) will roll out the “Back to School 2026” edition of the Program Jualan RAHMAH (PJRM), providing families with discounted school supplies across Malaysia during the upcoming school holidays.

Announced as part of Budget 2026 under the MADANI government, RM300 million has been allocated to implement the Payung RAHMAH initiative, administered by KPDN.

This includes the nationwide organisation of PJRM, aimed at making essential goods more affordable for consumers.

In a statement from Tawau, Sabah, Minister Datuk Arminzan Mohd Ali said the programme has been enhanced to broaden its reach, both in terms of participating locations and target groups.

“In conjunction with preparations for the new 2026 school session, KPDN will expand PJRM through the Back to School 2026 initiative,” he said.

The programme is scheduled to run from 20 December 2025 until 11 January 2026, coinciding with the school holiday period.

A total of 174 supermarkets, shopping centres, and clothing outlets will participate, offering discounts of 10 to 30 per cent on items compared with current market prices.

Between 45 and 80 Stock Keeping Units (SKU) will be available, including school uniforms, shoes, bags, and stationery. During the initiative, 269 PJRM Back to School events are expected to take place nationwide.

Members of the public can refer to the PJRM calendar for dates and locations at [https://www.kpdn.gov.my/ms/jualan-rahmah](https://www.kpdn.gov.my/ms/jualan-rahmah) to plan their visits and take advantage of the discounted school supplies.

The programme aims to ease the financial burden on families while ensuring students are equipped with essential items for the upcoming academic year. - December 13, 2025
