The most charismatic KPop Demon Hunters characters, ranked
#6. Baby Saja

Voiced by: Danny Chung
About the character: The maknae and main rapper of Saja Boys, Baby Saja, was equal parts adorable and unpredictable.
During a fansign event’s spicy challenge where none of his demon mates could handle the heat, Baby Saja gulped it all down nonchalantly, as if he survived on chilli rather than souls for dinner.
His antics provided comedic relief amid the chaos of KPop Demon Hunters.
Trivia: Jimin of BTS and Hyunjin of Stray Kids inspired Baby Saja’s appearance.
#5. Mira

Voiced by: May Hong
About the character: The lead dancer, visual and choreographer of HUNTR/X, Mira’s calm demeanour often balanced the chaos of her teammates.
Mira was known as the “black sheep” of her family. In HUNTR/X’s single “Golden”, one of the lines captured how her family considered her a problematic child because she was rebellious.
Confident and unapologetically bold, Mira left home and gained fame in K-pop. What made Mira so irresistible was her refusal to play by the rules; remember when she wore a sleeping bag to the Met Gala?
#4. Derpy

About the character: With cerulean fur, patterned black and white stripes, and rosettes, Derpy was a supernatural feline that resembled a tiger. He was Jinu’s loyal companion, often entrusted with delivering letters to Rumi.
Between the toppled pots he insisted on setting right and the pats he leaned into without shame, it was impossible not to love Derpy.
His importance, however, extended beyond comic relief. In the film’s climax, Derpy was shown perched on a rooftop, his presence suggesting that Jinu’s chapter was far from over.
#3. Zoey

Voiced by: Yoo Ji-young
About the character: The lead rapper and lyricist of HUNTR/X, Zoey, like Rumi, led a double life as a demon hunter.
She was born in Korea but raised in Burbank, California, USA. During her school days, she filled her notebooks with songs and lyrics, with negative reactions from many. However, she kept on pursuing her idol dream and eventually joined HUNTR/X.
The group’s maknae (youngest member), Zoey’s playfulness combined with determination, made her one of the most relatable characters of KPop Demon Hunters.
#2. Rumi

Voiced by: Arden Cho
About the character: One of HUNTR/X’s strongest vocalists and demon hunters, Rumi carried both charm and razor-sharp instincts. With long, purple hair often worn in a thick braid down her back, she fought demons with elegance and precision.
Born a cambion (a human-demon hybrid) to a K-pop idol and a demon father, Rumi initially wrestled with the burden of her dual identity. But over time, she came to embrace her roots. She also defied her mentor Celine (voiced by Yunjin Kim), who had long instilled in her the need to conceal the demonic patterns on her body.
Compassionate at heart, Rumi was the only one who truly understood Jinu and encouraged him to break free from Gwi-ma’s control.
Trivia: One of the most loved KPop Demon Hunters characters, Rumi’s look was inspired by Jennie of BLACKPINK.
#1. Jinu

Voiced by: Ahn Hyo-seop
About the character: The leader of the Saja Boys, Jinu, radiated undeniable main character energy. Whether dressed in a traditional black jeogori with a jeonbok overcoat and gat, or stylish collared shirts, tapered jeans and high-top sneakers, he stole the spotlight effortlessly.
Once human, Jinu lived in extreme poverty in the Joseon dynasty along with his mother and younger sister. His only possession was his bipa, a traditional Korean lute, which he played on the streets to earn money.
His life changed when he struck a fateful bargain with Gwi-ma. In return for a powerful singing voice, he surrendered his humanity. The pact gave him fame but forced him into heartbreaking choices, including abandoning his family.
Centuries later, he agreed to help Gwi-ma destroy the Honmoon built by Rumi, Zoey and Mira in exchange for erasing his painful memories. However, he had a change of heart along the way.
Jinu’s questionable choices throughout the movie made his redemption hit harder. His quiet sacrifice in the climax left audiences in tears, and even BTS’ Jungkook wasn’t spared.
Trivia: A fan-favourite among all the KPop Demon Hunters characters, Jinu’s appearance was inspired by Korean celebrities Cha Eun-woo and Nam Joo-hyuk.
