- Netflix has officially confirmed a sequel to its animated musical hit, KPop Demon Hunters.
- The original creative team, Maggie Kang and Chris Appelhans, will return to direct the follow-up, as part of a new multiyear deal with Netflix.
- The sequel is not expected to be released on the streaming service until 2029, due to the lengthy production time for animated features.
- The first film, which premiered in June 2025, topped Netflix's global movie charts and its song “Golden” won a Grammy and other awards.
- The new film is anticipated to explore the backstories and evolution of the HUNTR/X members, which were omitted from the first instalment.
