Fans of KPop Demon Hunters will soon be able to see HUNTR/X and the Saja Boys reimagined in Magic: The Gathering, the popular trading card game. The Netflix film is coming to the game through Secret Lair x KPop Demon Hunters: How It’s Done, a seven-card collection that is part of the upcoming Secret Lair: Corn Maze Superdrop.
The Secret Lair x KPop Demon Hunters: How It’s Done drop brings the Netflix animated film into Magic: The Gathering through new art treatments for seven existing cards. The collaboration is titled “How It’s Done”, referencing one of HUNTR/X’s songs from the film.
More about The Secret Lair x KPop Demon Hunters: How It’s Done collection from Magic: The Gathering
The collection draws on the film’s characters, music, supernatural battles and relationships, with artwork inspired by HUNTR/X, the Saja Boys and memorable moments from the story.
The seven cards included in the drop are:
- Dawn’s Truce: Rumi and the film’s finale
- Unbreakable Formation: Rumi, Mira and Zoey’s friendship
- Freed from the Real Rumi and Jinu
- Swan Song Sussie
- Demonic Counsel Jinu’s influence over Rumi
- Tempt with Immortality: Jinu’s pact with Gwi-ma
- Underworld Breach Rumi’s demon side and the Honmoon
Which KPop Demon Hunters characters and moments are featured in the collection?
The cards draw from different parts of the film rather than focusing on a single character.
Demonic Counsel references Jinu’s attempts to persuade Rumi to accept her demon side, while Tempt with Immortality draws on his pact with Gwi-ma and his decision to become one of the demon king’s servants.
Freed from the Real focuses on the relationship between Rumi and Jinu, depicting the pair together in the moonlight.
Rumi’s character arc also features prominently. Underworld Breach references her demonic awakening and the weakened Honmoon following the Saja Boys’ manipulation of their audience.
Meanwhile, Unbreakable Formation highlights the friendship between Rumi, Mira and Zoey and their strength as HUNTR/X.
Dawn’s Truce is inspired by the events of the film’s finale and Rumi’s journey towards accepting every part of herself.
Finally, Swan Song features a humorous nod to Sussie, the small three-eyed bird seen wearing a traditional Korean hat in the film.
When will the KPop Demon Hunters Magic cards be released?
The Secret Lair: Corn Maze Superdrop will go on sale on 12 October 2026.
For fans in Malaysia, the sale begins at 12: 00 a.m. MYT on 13 October, with the KPop Demon Hunters collection available as part of the wider Secret Lair Superdrop.
The drop will be sold through the official Secret Lair website.
Could KPop Demon Hunters get a larger Magic: The Gathering set?
For now, Wizards of the Coast has confirmed the Secret Lair collaboration, but there is no official confirmation of a full KPop Demon Hunters Universes Beyond set.
However, the official description of the Secret Lair drop includes wording suggesting that HUNTR/X and the Saja Boys could appear again in the future. This has led to speculation about further Magic collaborations, including the possibility of a larger set.
That remains speculation at this stage, and Wizards of the Coast has not announced a full KPop Demon Hunters Universes Beyond release.
What is the Secret Lair: Corn Maze Superdrop?
The Corn Maze Superdrop is a larger Secret Lair release featuring multiple pop-culture collaborations and themed collections.
Alongside KPop Demon Hunters, the October 2026 Superdrop includes collaborations with Marvel Zombies and Jim Henson’s Labyrinth, as well as artist-focused Magic collections.
