Consumers impacted by a data breach at Krispy Kreme in November 2024 have a limited window to file a claim. The class-action settlement totals $1.6 million, compensating individuals whose personal information may have been exposed during the breach.

Who Is Eligible

Individuals are included in the settlement if they reside in the United States and received a notice from Krispy Kreme indicating that their personal information may have been exposed. Consumers who meet these criteria can submit a claim to receive cash compensation or reimbursement for documented losses.

Deadlines and Important Dates

The deadline to file a claim isJune 22, 2026. Those wishing to exclude themselves from the settlement or object to it must do so by June 6, 2026. Missing these deadlines could result in the loss of eligibility for financial compensation or other settlement benefits. Eligible class members can receive a $75 cash payment if they submit a claim. The exact amount may vary depending on the total number of claims filed.

For those who suffered documented losses, including fraud or identity theft related to the breach, compensation may reach $3,500. Documentation such as receipts, emails, phone records, or bank statements must accompany the claim form to verify the losses.

Even if a claim is not submitted, class members will still have access to one year of credit monitoring, designed to help protect against further misuse of personal information. Activation codes for credit monitoring were provided on the settlement notice postcards sent to affected consumers.

How to File a Claim

Claims can be submitted online via the Krispy Kreme settlement website or mailed to the settlement administrator using the address provided on the claim form. Paper forms are also available by calling 877-239-1879. Submitting early ensures eligibility and helps avoid last-minute issues, such as website delays or postal delivery problems.

Preparing to File

Consumers are encouraged to gather documentation of potential losses before filing, including any evidence of financial harm caused by the breach. Early preparation will make it easier to submit claims and maximize the compensation available under the settlement.

The Krispy Kreme settlement highlights the growing importance of data security and the risks posed when personal information is exposed. Filing a claim ensures access to both financial compensation and tools to monitor credit, providing some relief for those impacted by the breach.

With the June 22 deadline approaching, affected individuals should review eligibility, gather supporting documents, and submit their claims promptly to secure their rights under the settlement.
