Toni Kroos has declared Jude Bellingham as his heir at Real Madrid.
The veteran midfielder will retire after the Euros.
In reaction to Kroos' announcement, Bellingham posted to social media: "One year was not enough. Thank you for everything you have given to the game, it has been an absolute pleasure to enjoy your football and your personality as a fan and even more so as a teammate."
In response, Kroos posted: "Thank you my friend. More years together would have been unfair. I've enjoyed every minute since you joined! You are more than ready to take control! At 20 years old..."
