Krylia Sovetov midfielder Benjamin Garre has recalled working with Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola.
Garre spent four years on the books of City for four years.
The Argentine recalled to Sport-Express: Yes, it was a long time ago. Then I was still in Argentina. I had two pre-seasons with Pep, I liked everything with him. Guardiola and his entire coaching staff were always there. This was the most important thing for me. They always wanted to help, wanted to give some additional information to make it easier for me to develop as a player.
"But then I went to another club and didn't know whether to send a message, but my father insisted, so I wished him a happy birthday. Plus I thanked him for everything he had done for me.
"Pep replied in a nice way that he had been following me in Argentina. Then I had a good start in the championship. We had a great conversation, I really remember this conversation."
