Public transportation issues have been a recurring concern lately. While LRT and MRT stations have been known to experience malfunctions, it's not unusual for KTM trains to pause mid-route to make way for passing trains. However, a recent incident left passengers stranded at Batang Benar station for an extended period due to a power outage that halted train operations altogether. A frustrated passenger took to Twitter, addressing Transport Minister Anthony Loke, to complain about the service disruption.

The passenger highlighted the impact of the incident, emphasizing that many individuals rely on the KTM for their daily commute, and such interruptions cause significant inconvenience.

Expressing disappointment, the passenger noted the lack of improvement in addressing electrical issues and sudden stops, which have persisted over the years. While acknowledging that unforeseen circumstances may occur, the passenger underscored the need for more proactive measures.

Later that evening, KTM Berhad confirmed the malfunction through a Facebook post, assuring the public that repairs were underway. The passenger also criticized KTM's decision to implement paper-based ticketing services, deeming it wasteful, as these tickets are single-use only. Instead, the passenger suggested the adoption of electronic payment methods like debit/credit cards and Touch 'n Go, while retaining the existing KTM card system.
