KUALA LUMPUR – From May 24 to May 26, KTM Komuter services in the Klang Valley will experience delays of up to 50 minutes because of signal upgrade work.
This disruption will impact two key routes: Pulau Sebang-Batu Caves and Tanjung Malim-KL Sentral, along with the ETS service.
Earlier, Keretapi Tanah Melayu Bhd (KTMB) announced that the KTM Komuter service in the Klang Valley will have temporary schedule adjustments for three days beginning in May.
It said that this is to facilitate upgrades to the signaling system along the route from Kepong Station to Salak Selatan Station, as part of KTMB's continuous efforts to enhance system efficiency and ensure the safety of train operations.
“Throughout the implementation phase, the two primary KTM Komuter routes – Pulau Sebang to Batu Caves and Tanjung Malim to KL Sentral – along with the electric train service (ETS), are anticipated to face delays of up to 50 minutes from their original timetable.
“Moreover, on May 24, two ETS services, EG9425 (from Padang Besar to Segamat) and EG9321 (from Butterworth to Segamat), will have changes in their platforms at KL Sentral Station and Kuala Lumpur Station,” the statement read.
Additionally, two ETS services, EG9425 (Padang Besar-Segamat) and EG9321 (Butterworth-Segamat), will have changes in their platforms at KL Sentral Station and Kuala Lumpur Station on May 24.
"Staff will be present at the station to guide and assist passengers to the correct platform. KTMB recommends that all travelers plan their journeys ahead of time and check the travel schedule on MyRailtime through the KTMB Mobile app.
"Passengers should also stay attentive to announcements at the station and updates via KTMB's official social media channels”
