To accommodate the increased demand for travel during the Hari Raya Aidilfitri festive season, Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB) is introducing four additional ETS train services from March 28 to April 6.
These extra trips will cover two major routes: KL Sentral to Padang Besar and KL Sentral to Butterworth, ensuring smoother and more convenient journeys for passengers.
For travelers heading to Padang Besar, the additional trains will make stops at Sungai Buloh, Tanjung Malim, Ipoh, Taiping, and Sungai Petani before reaching their destination. Train EP9283 will depart from Padang Besar at 11:05 AM, arriving at KL Sentral by 4:30 PM. Meanwhile, train EP9286 will leave KL Sentral at 5:00 PM and is scheduled to reach Padang Besar at 10:20 PM.
On the KL Sentral-Butterworth route, the trains will stop at key stations such as Sungai Buloh, Tanjung Malim, Ipoh, Taiping, and Bukit Mertajam. Train EP9186 will leave KL Sentral at 4:45 PM and reach Butterworth at 8:50 PM. For the return journey, train EP9185 will depart from Butterworth at 11:20 AM and arrive at KL Sentral at 3:25 PM.
Tickets for these additional ETS services have been available for purchase since 10:00 AM on March 4. Passengers are encouraged to secure their tickets early via the KTMB website, KTMB app, or at ticket kiosks in KTMB stations nationwide.
