KTMB will adjust KTM Komuter and ETS timetables for the Pulau Sebang-Batu Caves route from April 18 due to major track upgrade works until end-2026

KUALA LUMPUR: Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB) will restructure the Klang Valley KTM Komuter service schedule for the Pulau Sebang-Batu Caves-Pulau Sebang route starting April 18.

This move follows infrastructure upgrading works for the Klang Valley Electric Double Track Project Phase 2 between Salak Selatan and Seremban stations.

The rescheduling aims to allow the 67-kilometre track upgrading work to be carried out more safely and efficiently. It is also intended to speed up the project’s completion timeline.

“This implementation involves operating using a single track system to ensure the continuity of passenger train and freight train services on the affected routes,” KTMB said in a statement.

The rationalisation involves upgrading the track system, signalling and infrastructure to improve long-term safety and reliability.

During the project period lasting until the end of December 2026, peak frequency on the route will be optimised to five services. Trains will run at intervals of every 15 and 30 minutes during morning and evening peaks.

No KTM Komuter services will operate from 10 am to 4 pm on the Midvalley-Pulau Sebang and Pulau Sebang-Bandar Tasik Selatan routes during this period.

The track between Salak Selatan Station and Seremban Station will be completely closed from 10 pm to 6 am nightly. This closure will allow more intensive maintenance and upgrading work.

The restructuring also involves adjusting the timetable for two electric train services on the JB Sentral-KL Sentral-JB Sentral route.

Train EP9530 from JB Sentral to KL Sentral will now depart at 3 pm and arrive at 7.20 pm. Train EP9535 from KL Sentral to JB Sentral will depart at 8 pm and arrive at 12.20 am.

All remaining ETS services and KTM Cargo operations will continue as usual.

Users are advised to plan their journeys in advance and check the latest timetable via KTMB’s official channels. They can also contact the KTMB Call Centre at 03-9779 1200 for enquiries.
