
The Kuala Lumpur police have been notified of eight reports from representatives of political parties concerning the "Dubai Move," which allegedly aims to overthrow the unity government led by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
Confirming these reports, Kuala Lumpur police chief Datuk Allaudeen Abdul Majid stated that they were lodged at various locations, including the Putrajaya, Cheras, and Dang Wangi district police headquarters. Mahathir Mohd Yunus, Special Functions Officer to the Prime Minister's political secretary Datuk Azman Abidin, spoke to reporters after filing a police report at the Cheras district police headquarters. He expressed concern that the alleged move could disrupt the parliamentary democratic system, even with the presence of anti-party hopping laws.
Asheeq Ali Sethi Alivi, PKR Youth Legal Bureau chief, urged the police to investigate individuals associated with the "Dubai Move," including controversial blogger Raja Petra Kamarudin.
