Kota Kinabalu: Two Sabahan women were recognised at the Malaysian Fashion Modeling Pageant Award (MFMPA) in the nation’s capital, recently.
Joanna Kitingan was named Cultural Heritage Advocate of the year 2023 at the ceremony held at Matic (Malaysia Tourism Centre).
It was in view of her contribution to promoting and preserving cultural heritage within the fashion industry in Malaysia.
Her efforts in preserving cultural heritage, particularly traditional costumes, had a profound impact on society, particularly within the community in Sabah.
