Kunak folks fuming over dirty water

KUNAK: Residents in Mukim Madai, including in Kg Dasar Baru, Kg Lormalong and Kg Simpang Empat, have been receiving treated water supply that has been cloudy, dirty, and dark in colour.

Consumers claimed that the water also has a rust-like effect.

A user here said: “It is difficult to wash clothes with dirty tap water; the water treatment plant should be cleaned.”

Additionally, traders in premises around Simpang Empat have also experienced the same issue.

However, it has not been confirmed whether this process caused the problem.

Previously, the Tiong Hua Kunak Chamber of Commerce had raised concerns about the same problem and urged the relevant departments to address it, including the issue of low water pressure as it disrupts the daily affairs of users and businesses.
