Dr BS Chaudhary, senior professor and Chairman of the Department of Geophysics, and Coordinator, Centre for Advanced Studies in Earthquake Sciences, Kurukshetra University, will participate in the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) regional workshop on Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR).

The workshop is being organised at Daffodil International University, Dhaka, Bangladesh, from June 14 to 16. It is being conducted in collaboration with experts from the University of Heidelberg, Germany, and DAAD alumni, with participants from South-East Asian countries aimed at enhancing regional collaboration, knowledge sharing and capacity building in addressing AMR.

In addition to India, Bangladesh and Germany, participants are attending from Nepal, Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand and Bhutan.

Dr Chaudhary will deliver a talk titled “Applications of Geospatial Technology for Integrating Water Quality Concerns within the National Health Mission Framework: Experiences from Haryana State, India” during the workshop.

Prof Chaudhary works in the domain of geospatial technology for natural resource mapping and management, with a special focus on water resources, disaster and environmental management, electrical prospecting, hydrogeophysics and near-surface geophysics.

He has published more than 100 research papers in reputed national and international journals and conference proceedings.
