KUALA LUMPUR: The Ministry of Entrepreneur and Cooperatives Development (KUSKOP) will assist Malaysian small and medium enterprises in exploring new opportunities in China.
Minister Steven Sim said this would be done under the ministry’s ABCD Strategy.
The strategy focuses on accelerating productivity, reducing bureaucracy, improving capital accessibility and developing market access.
Sim described the Chinese market and its 1.4 billion consumers as a game-changer for local entrepreneurs.
He said he met Chinese Ambassador to Malaysia Ouyang Yujing to discuss the matter.
“Ouyang has suggested a number of platforms for Malaysian SMEs to tap into the Chinese market,” Sim said.
These platforms include the China International Import Expo and the China-ASEAN Expo.
