Juventus star Cristiano Ronaldo has become the most prolific goalscorer in Euro qualifying history.

He scored four goals for Portugal against Lithuania for the 5-1 win, taking his tally for the national team to 93 goals in 159 caps.

And the 34-year-old surpassed former Republic of Ireland striker Robbie Keane in Euro qualifying goals. Keane had been the previous top scorer with 23.

I'm having a great time, but the same goes for the whole team," he said after the game.

I'm happy and I'm enjoying myself, not because I scored but rather for the level we've been playing at in recent years.

It's up to me to continue helping the national team. We overcame the hardest game, which was to beat Serbia.

Today it was important to have given continuity to that victory. Now everything is open: we have two games soon, one at home and one away, and I think that winning one of them could be enough."
