The Mexico fullback is set to sign for Barca from LA Galaxy.
Araujo will land in Barcelona this Thursday, according to the journalist Achraf Ben Ayad. The 21-year-old remains contracted to LA Galaxy, which reached an agreement with Barcelona in the winter market.
However, a computer error, as explained by Mateu Alemany, Barca's football director, led to the documentation arriving "18 seconds after the deadline" at midnight on January 31.
Bara have now made an appeal, which has been filed with the TAS to try to solve the matter.
