LA high school student who fell to his death was reportedly bullied

Seventeen-year-old Xavier Nungarary died Wednesday after falling from a fourth-floor railing at Benjamin Franklin High School in Los Angeles.

Video footage recorded prior to the fall appears to show another student punching Nungarary inside a classroom before he fled.

The Los Angeles Police Department is investigating the incident as a death investigation and noted there is currently no evidence of foul play.

Nungarary's stepmother shared that he experienced bullying throughout high school, and a GoFundMe page was established to assist his family with funeral costs.

The Los Angeles Unified School District deployed mental health professionals and grief counselors to the campus to support students and staff.
