Kota Kinabalu: SM La Salle and SM St Michael have captured the Kota Kinabalu District Schools Sports Council rugby Under-18 boys and girls title.
The La-Salle boys defeated Sabah Science Secondary School (Smesh) 5-0 while St Michael’s girls brushed aside St Francis Convent 31-0 in the finals held at the Tanjung Aru rugby field on Wednesday.
The boys category was participated by SM La Salle, Maktab Sabah, Smesh, SM Lok Yuk while the girls representing SM Francis Convent, Maktab Sabah and SM St Michael.
Meanwhile, the Under-12 boys title was won by SK Kepayan after defeating SK Tanjung Aru II 10-5 in the final.
The participating schools were SK Tanjung Aru II, SK Kepayan, SK Likas, SK Malawa and SRK Sacred Heart.
The closing ceremony was officiated by Kota Kinabalu district’s deputy education officer Bunsu Gaga.
