
Kota Kinabalu: A 45-year-old labourer, who was charged with committing physical sexual assault against a 12-year-old girl two years ago, was freed of the charges by the Sessions Court here.
Mohamad Bakri, 45, was discharged and acquitted of the charge by Sessions Court Judge Amir Shah Amir Hassan, without his defence being called.

Mohamad was accused of committing the offence by kissing the girl’s cheek and fondling her breasts in a workers’ house at a Papar’s village, on April 19, 2023, at 3.30pm.

The prosecution had called six witnesses to testify in the trial.
