LABUAN: Since a non-Labuan born has been nominated as a Senator representing Labuan’s interests, it is only fair that the island Federal Territory is represented in the Sabah State Assembly through a Nominated Assemblyman seat.
“The appointment of an outsider to represent us in the Senate is unprecedented.
Even after the island became a Federal Territory all the past senators had been local political leaders, whereas the appointment of Labuan in the Sabah Assembly had precedence during the Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) through Datuk Zaini bin Mat Isa,” said activist Lau Seng Kiat.
