LABUAN: Four individuals travelling in a Proton Iswara Aeroback were detained by the Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA) after being found suspected of involvement in drug-related activities while aboard a vehicle-passenger ferry heading to Labuan on Thursday.
The arrest was made following precise intelligence, which prompted a thorough inspection by MMEA personnel while the ferry was in Labuan waters.
Labuan Maritime Zone director Capt (Maritime) Izwanhadi Hj Idros said the suspects were detained under the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 for further investigation.
