LABUAN: Pulau Daat, an island located about six nautical miles from the harbour and midway to Menumbok was snapped up for around RM80 million by a foreign buyer in an auction after several unsuccessful earlier attempts, Daily Express reliably learnt.
A source said the deal was concluded recently.
The property first fell under the hammer in 2021 with a reserve price set at RM135 million.
Daat was in the news in 2012 when it was earmarked for RM3 billion Integrated Petroleum Complex by a China-based company with the support of local companies.
