PETALING JAYA: LAC Med Bhd posted a net profit of RM5.27 million in Q2’26 as revenue surged 55.1% quarter-on-quarter (q-o-q) to RM45.60 million, driven by higher revenue recognition from ongoing projects.

No comparison with the preceding year’s corresponding quarter was available, as the medical equipment and healthcare solutions provider was listed on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia on Dec 10, 2025.

The stronger quarterly performance was mainly driven by higher revenue recognition from ongoing projects under its supply and integration of medical devices segment, alongside improved performance from its other segments.

For H1’26, net profit fell 37.5% to RM6.30 million from RM10.08 million in the corresponding period, while revenue declined 21.0% to RM74.97 million from RM94.96 million.

The company said the stronger performance in H1’25 was due to a one-off revenue adjustment of about RM6 million from its supply and integration of medical devices segment that had been deferred from FY2024 following its transition to the MFRS framework.

Looking ahead, LAC Med’s order book stood at RM246.9 million as at July 31, 2026, providing earnings visibility for the next three to four years. Its tender book had also expanded to RM769.8 million from RM690.9 million as at April 30.

The group remains cautiously optimistic about its prospects for the financial year ending Dec 31, 2026, barring unforeseen circumstances.
