TAWAU: Thirteen teenagers in the high-profile Lahad Datu Vocational College student murder last March pleaded not guilty at the Tawau High Court on Tuesday.

All the accused persons nodded understanding and pleaded not guilty to the charge read by a court interpreter before Judge Datuk Duncan Sikodol.

The 13, aged between 16 and 19, were jointly charged with murdering Mohamad Nazmie Aizzat Mohd Narul Narul Azwan, 17, at the college's hostel.

The court then fixed a trial on Nov. 18-22 and 25-29. All of them were charged under Section 302 of the Penal Code which carries the death sentence if convicted.
