
LAHAD DATU: An early morning fire destroyed a wooden house in Kampung Unta, Jalan Bakawali, here on Saturday.
State Fire and Rescue Department spokesperson in a statement said that the department received a distress call at 2.36am via MERS999.
A team of fire-fighters and two fire engines from Lahad Datu Fire and Rescue Station were deployed to the scene.
“Upon arrival, the team discovered that the fire involved a wooden house measuring 25x10 square foot.

Read more “The team managed to put the blaze under control at 2.57am and ended the operation at 4.07am after completely extinguishing the fire as well as ensuring no other dangers were at the scene,” they said. No casualties were reported in the incident while the house was completely destroyed. The causes of fire and losses are being investigated.
