LaLiga president Javier Tebas has hit out at the Premier League's summer spending.

It is an approach, he assures, that is unsustainable for LaLiga nor is it the one that the Spanish clubs want.

He said, "The net balance of the Premier, purchases and sales, is -1,200 million. They have bought 1,200 million more than they have sold. The Bundesliga's is +50, ours is -50, the Italian +24... Look at the difference.

"When the turnover of LaLiga is 4,000 million, that of the Bundesliga is also about 4,000, and that of the Premier, 7,100-7,200 million.

"What is happening? There are a lot of checkbooks from club owners who are contributing year after year.

"The numbers of the Premier can only be possible with the shareholders' checkbook. If we opened the tap to checks, the biggest losers would be Madrid, Barça, Osasuna and Athletic because they cannot go to owners who have a checkbook. Barça has had to sell heritage, PSG opens the gas... This is not sustainable."
