TENOM: The Keningau-Tenom road at KM151 has been closed since 9am today (Saturday) due to a landslide triggered by continuous rain.

The closure, near a temple at the Bintang Tujuh junction, was announced by the District Public Works Department (PWD) following an assessment deeming the route unsafe.

According to a PWD spokesperson, monitoring and constructing a temporary diversion along the roadside are underway.

However, if adverse weather persists and the landslide remains active, the closure will be extended until the road is deemed safe.

Motorists heading to Kota Kinabalu are advised to use the Tenom-Sipitang route as an alternative.
