Our Jabatan Pengangkutan Jalan (JPJ) has just called out BJAK Sdn Bhd for maybe not being as trustworthy as they are advertising to be...

In a statement issued today by the department, it is said that BJAK Sdn Bhd is not authorised by JPJ or The Transport Ministry to provide road tax renewal services in Malaysia. They verified this in relation to BJAK's marketing offering the public free online services for renewing a driver's license or road tax.

On the company's website, they are currently advertising that their services are "approved and validated by JPJ".

And JPJ is saying that this is flat out FALSE.

Besides public complaints about road tax renewal through BJAK does not update the validity period, BJAK's increased expenses for road tax renewal have drawn complaints to JPJ as well.

Further into the statement, JPJ stressed that they have not approved nor granted BJAK any rights at all to allow them to charge their users any additional fees when renewing their road tax.

"The public is encouraged to renew their road tax through JPJ counters, JPJ kiosks, JPJ Mobile mobile counters, MyJPJ applications, JPJ public portals and JPJ business partner platforms namely Pos Malaysia, MyEG and PUSPAKOM only."

They end their statement by urging the public to be more mindful when trusting said platforms so that they may avoid any fraud and losses.

For further information or complaints, you may contact JPJ through their website.
