Former Chile manager Martin Lasarte is not happy at the thought of Marcelo Bielsa managing Uruguay.
The veteran Argentinian coach has not worked since he was sacked by Leeds United near the end of last season.
Bielsa, who would replace Oscar Tabarez as the Uruguay coach if a deal goes through, is not the preferred choice of all in Uruguay.
Uruguayan-born Lasarte, who himself went to manage Chile, told Radio Carve: I don't like that a foreign coach comes to direct the Uruguayan team. This was the chance for a Uruguayan coach to lead the team, the time to do a long-term project
"For me, Diego Alonso was not a bad option for him to continue in office. But there are some who think that everything is wrong, that everything must be swept away and an Argentine coach brought in."
