PETALING JAYA: The mother of cyberbullying victim Esha has lodged a police report against three people, including a woman, over a video and a live broadcast on her daughter, who allegedly ended her own life.

Puspa P Rajagopal said “one of them is a woman who is a former police officer”, Berita Harian reported.

The report was lodged against the trio for uploading a video as well as a live broadcast on A Rajeswary, better known as Esha.

“For the past week, I was informed by my children that a video and a live broadcast was uploaded by three individuals who spoke about Rajeswary,” Puspa told reporters after lodging a report at the Gombak police station this evening.

Puspa claimed that the trio’s actions had caused her to suffer chest pains twice this week.

She hopes that the police will take stern action against cyberbullies and bring them to justice. “I hope this (cyberbullying) stops. I don’t want anyone to go through what I endured as a mother who lost a child to cyberbullying.”

Rajeswary had filed a police report the day before her death on July 5, citing fears of rape and murder. She accused two people of tormenting her on TikTok.

Police have since arrested a 44-year-old male lorry driver and a 35-year-old woman for investigation on charges of criminal intimidation and other offences.
